20240716 – Seven Weeks Before Leaving: Been a busy several weeks. Just before our June driving trip, I traded camera bodies – Canon R6 for Canon R6 Mark II. Came while we were away. When we got back from the trip, I had a cough that turned into hospitalization for bacterial pneumonia. After recovering, spent some time getting all the menus on the new camera set and updated. But still have not had the time to get out to renew and refresh muscle memory on the camera.
Per arrangements with Alan Morris, I made a dinner reservation for all 11 of us in Bari for 9/11 at the Opera Restaurante. Also, as asked for by the Rome contingent, made reservations through the Rome hotel’s concierge at Taverna Angelica and Colline Emiliane. And got my individual tickets for the Rome Colosseum and Pantheon.
Looking forward to reuniting with old friends.
